The Platform Wars: Winning with WordPress
How do terms like “Web3,” the “5th industrial revolution” and “post-human” affect WordPressers?
As an artist and self-taught WordPress web designer, I’ve spent years teaching myself new tools—from WordPress and Elementor to Figma, Balsamiq, and Miro. Along the way, I started noticing something familiar between the worlds of technology and contemporary art: the tools and mediums we use can change the way we think, create, and participate in culture. As more of our lives move onto technology platforms, the ability to learn new tools may matter more than ever.
This talk explores what WordPress can teach us about living through constant technological change driving in large part by the internet—and why the future may belong to people who know how to keep learning.
